Produttori del Barbaresco Springtime Feature at Bar Bambino

As part of an ongoing series in 2011 to showcase regional wine producers and cuisines within Italy, Bar Bambino is pleased to announce its Spring feature showcasing the highly regarded wines of Produttori del Barbaresco accompanied by a special a la carte menu with a Piemontese Alpine theme. Since nebbiolo ranks among the three noblest, age-worthy, nuanced and food-friendly grape varieties in the world, Owner Christopher Losa and Wine Director Collin Peter-Casey both have a long-standing love of these wines.  In particular, the wines of Produttori del Barbaresco are premiere examples of traditionally produced, elegant and finessed nebbiolo.  Kicking off their annual regional dinner series, seven of Produttori del Barbaresco's single vineyard riserva offerings from the 2004 and 2005 vintages will be offered at 50% off the regular wine list price.

"With a wine program that focuses on the wines of northern Italy and Central Europe and showcases traditional producers working primarily with indigenous varieties, we enjoy introducing guests to unfamiliar varieties and traditional production methods," said Christopher Losa.   He decided that making Produttori del Barbaresco's sought-after wines more accessible from a price perspective was a great way to usher in Spring and to showcase the collaboration between Collin's palette and Lizzie's cooking.

Date: March 21st - 26th, 2011
