Wente Vineyards Announces its BottleRockIt Music Festival

Full day festival will feature top national touring bands and independent Bay Area artists.  25 bands for $20 hosted by Live 105’s Aaron Axelsen and Karl Wente


Livermore Valley, CA – August 2011 – Fifth generation winemaker Karl Wente of  Wente Vineyards is proud to announce the BottleRockIt Music Festival launching  Saturday, September 10, 2011.  For the fifth year in a row, the independent music festival formerly known as Discover the Wine Discover the Music will feature nationally renowned bands as well as the best emerging Bay Area talent.  The show will be headlined by Givers, The Holdup, Dirty Vegas, AB & The Sea and The Hundred Days and will be presented by top rock station Live 105, (KITS 105.1 FM). Wente Vineyards invites festivalgoers to spend the day basking under the East Bay sun, enjoying a full day of music and a selection of delicious estate grown, sustainable wines.

“I’m really psyched to be working with Karl Wente and Wente Vineyards on the Homegrown Series and the BottleRockIt Festival.  I grew up in Livermore around the vineyards and have always wanted to do something like this in my hometown with bands I play on my radio shows.   It’s a great time for up and coming talent in the Bay Area; this is a creative nexus of talent right here in our backyard,” states Aaron Axelsen, DJ, Music Director, Live 105 San Francisco.

Less than an hour east of San Francisco, with a striking backdrop of golden hills and lush vineyards ready for harvest, Wente Vineyards provides a gorgeous setting to enjoy an all-day music festival. As Northern California’s most memorable concert location, Wente Vineyards will dedicate the day to great music, wine and local food.  In true festival style, Wente will be hosting three different stages, allowing guests to sit on the lawn with chairs or blankets.  The three different stages will be located at the Barrel Room, the Small Lot Winery and the Estate Lawn.

Held at the Estate Tasting Room at 5565 Tesla Road in Livermore, CA, doors open at 10:30 AM and performances begin at 11AM. Tickets for the 25-band and DJ lineup are only $20 and are on sale now. Food, wine and beer will be available for purchase on site and will be provided by Catering at Wente Vineyards. Festivalgoers can spend the day sipping and discovering the portfolio of Estate grown wines crafted by Karl Wente.

What better way to experience wine and music together when all your senses are stimulated,“ says Wente, a musician himself, who will also perform with his own band, The Front Porch.
