Livermore Valley, CA – July 2011: This lineup of enticing upcoming events from Wente Vineyards offers many ways to celebrate the summer season. Art showings, special tastings and family fun create opportunities to delight the tastes of every wine enthusiast.

JULY

Wente Wednesdays
Every Wednesday from 5 – 8 p.m.
Estate Winery Tasting Room
Visit the Estate tasting room every Wednesday to listen to local music talent on the lawn! There will be great wine, food, music and company, making it a perfect way to spend Wednesday evenings this summer.

Artist Reception: Watercolors by Tricia Poulos
July 10th from 1 3 p.m.
Estate Winery Tasting Room
Local artist Tricia Poulos will be displaying her watercolors at the Estate Tasting Room. Come meet the artist and sip on some fabulous Wente Vineyards Wines. Exhibit on display through July 29th.

Summer Garden Tour
July 12th from 10:30 a.m. 12 p.m.
The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards
Explore the vineyard’s beautiful 1,000-square foot herb and vegetable garden and learn about The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards’ extensive sustainability practices from our Master-Gardener, Diane Dovholuk. Our executive Chef Eric Berg will also provide a cooking demo using fresh ingredients picked from the garden that morning. Admission is free but space is limited, reservations required. Homegrown on the Estate Lawn
July 15th from 6 10 p.m.
Wente Vineyards presents a new concert series Homegrown on the Estate Lawn, which will showcase some of the best local talent from Northern California. Discover the tastes and sounds of local homegrown artists starting on July 15th, with The Mumlers, Young Digerati, and The Front Porch featuring our own Karl Wente. Early Bird Tickets $10 and Regular Tickets $15. Purchase tickets at wente.eventbrite.com.

The Cinema at Wente Vineyards presents Young Frankenstein
July 28th
Lawn seating and the Reel Classics Cafe open at 6:30 p.m., restaurant reservations begin at 5 p.m.
Enjoy a family evening under the stars this summer with The Cinema at Wente Vineyards. Dine at the Reel Classics Cafe, where casual offerings are served outdoors on the terrace lawn, or make reservations at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards. All dining options are available before the start of feature presentation. All movies are complimentary and begin at twilight. Arrive early and enjoy music performed by various winners of Livermore’s Got Talent competition.

Homegrown on the Estate Lawn
July 30th from 6 – 10 p.m.
Wente Vineyards presents the second installment of Homegrown on the Estate Lawn, which will showcase three locally based artists from Northern California. On Saturday, July 30th, enjoy tunes from the reggae rock group The Holdup, folk artist Quicksand Marching Band and Karl Wente’s band The Front Porch. Early bird tickets $10 and regular tickets $15. AUGUST

Summer Jubilee to the Nth Degree
August 6th from 12 – 5 p.m.
Estate Winery Tasting Room
Come visit the Estate winery and soak up the beautiful setting while enjoying the only club release event open to guests. Members can pick up their shipments and everyone can enjoy live music and tasting the newest releases from our Small Lot Winery. We will also hold a special library tasting in our historic barrel room for a nominal fee. Food will be available for purchase from Wente Vineyards Catering. $10 wine club members, $15 public, no charge for Nth Degree Club members.

BottleRockit Festival
September 10th from 11 – 10p.m.
Estate Winery Tasting Room
Wente Vineyards’ local music series will conclude on September 10th with its BottleRockit Festival. Featuring three stages, 20 bands, great food, and world-class wine, this festival is sure to be a great way to finish out your summer. Considering most music festivals of this caliber cost upwards of $50, this festival offers an amazing opportunity to sample amazing food, music, and wine at only $20.

Harvest Wine Celebration
September 4th & 5th from 12 – 5p.m.
Estate Winery Tasting Room
Come help us celebrate the Annual Harvest! Experience Livermore Valley Wine County at it's best during this amazing celebration. You will fall in love with Livermore's Wine Country at this annual fall celebration. Sample scrumptious foods and wine.
